    Pakistan: Explosion in Karachi, 5 dead and 20 wounded

    5 dead, 20 hurt in an explosion in Gulshan – i – Iqbal Colony, Karachi

    Islamabad Pakistan,

    On Monday 5 people died and 20 reported injured by Edhi Foundation in an detonation building near Karachi’s Gulshan-i-Iqbals vicinity near Maskan Chorangi.

    The officials state that all dead and injured in the explosion were take to Patel Hospital.

    The explosion is suspected to have occurred on the second floor of the building. The infrastructure of the buildings was mutilated. The witnesses of the blast described that glass of close by buildings and motorcycles were also affected badly.

    In an initial report released the cause of the blast is said to be due to the explosion of gas.
    After the blast the area by cordoned off by law enforcement bodies. A bomb disposal squad investigated the case of the blast.

    The bomb disposal squad found remains of a stove burner and metal. However, no sign of an improvised explosive device (IED) was found.
    Chief Minister of Sindh, Murad Ali Shah took notice of the blast and has inquired a detailed report on the incident.

    He expressed deep sorrow for the families of the deceased, he also assured the best medical treatment for the injured.
    Officials of the Sindh Building Control Authority present at the site of the incident said that the building will have to be demolished.

    Mushtaq Mahar Sindh Inspector General of police took notice of the episode.
    Opposition leaders Maryam Safdar and Bilawal Zardari expressed their grieves regarding the incident.

    Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leader (PTI) and Martine Affair minister offered condolences.
    Haleem Adil Shiek, PTI leader stated that the Sindh government should reimburse the families of the victims.

    On Tuesday 5 people were wounded in an explosion that took place at the entrance of Sheerin Jinnah Colony bus terminal.
    According to reports, it was an improvised explosive device (IED), the rigged motorcycle was parked at the entrance at 3:30 pm.
