The television actress & model Gauhar Khan & the choreographer Zaid Darbar have got engaged on Wednesday, November 4, 2020. The duo took to their social media to announce the news of their engagement on November 5, 2020.
The couple has shared their picture in which they are looking lovingly into each other’s eyes and are surrounded by a few balloons. Among other balloons, Gauhar is seen holding a large, heart-shaped balloon in which it is printed in gold the words, “She Said Yes.” Meanwhile, Zaid is also seen with a simple white balloon in which we can make out is written “a perfect pair.”
Both Gauhar as well as Zaid shared the same picture on their Instagram account & captioned it with a ring & a heart emoticon. In the photo, Gauhar is seen wearing a floral print Kurti with a white dupatta, whereas Zaid is seen wearing a yellow shirt paired with blue denim.
The couple was rumored to be getting hitched in December this year. However, the two had called off the rumors of them tying the knot this year. The couple had been keeping their relationship private for a long time and had later announced their relationship a few months back. Gauhar has been seen sharing pictures of her with Zaid Darbar on social media for a few months after announcing their relationship. Zaid Darbar has also started sharing their pictures on his social media profile since August.
Gauhar Khan is a television actress & model, as well as a dancer. In the film Aan: Men at Work in 2004, she came into the limelight with her attractive performance in Nasha’s song. In 2009, she participated in the dance show Jhalak dikhla Jaa # & ranked the position of the first runner up. She was then seen in Bigg Boss 7 & came out of the house as the winner in 2013. Later, she debuted in the Punjabi film industry in 2015 with the film “Oh Yaara Ainvayi Ainvayi Lut Gaya”.
Gauhar was last seen in Bigg Boss 14 this year for a few weeks as one of the “Toofani Senior” along with Sidharth Shukla & Hina Khan. On the other hand, Zaid Darbar is the son of the Bollywood singer-composer Ismail Darbar & is a choreographer & a social media influencer with more than 400k followers on Instagram.
When Zaid’s father & compose Ismail Darbar was asked about Zaid & Gauhar’s relationship & plans of getting married, then he responded saying that he does not have any issue with the two & that as a father to a son, he would want to bring a daughter-in-law for his son too. He further took on the concept of arranged marriage, saying that “gone are those days,” referring to the organized marriage system & welcomed his son’s choice for getting married to the woman he likes. He said that if Zaid tells him that he wants to get married to Gauhar, he will get married. He also mentioned that Zaid is old enough to understand what he wants & knows what he is doing.
