Bring your own container day will be back in a few days at participating 7-Eleven stores in the United Statesconfirmed the convenience store chain.
Through a statement, 7-Eleven reported that the day “Bring your own container” will be back in some locations after two years it had to be canceled due to the sanitary measures imposed by the covid-19 pandemic.
However, the wait is over for lovers of special promotions and one of 7-Eleven’s star products: the famous Slurpee.
The convenience store chain tried its luck and Consumer Response to Bring Your Own Container Day in Canadawhere the event was organized last May.
The promotion was scheduled to last one day; however, due to its success, the event was extended for two more days, which gave the company a good sign to organize it in the United States.
The event in the country will take place on Saturday, August 27, 7-Eleven confirmed in a statement; just weeks after the chain celebrated its 7-Eleven Day, also known as Slurpee Day, on July 11.
“We know that Slurpee drinks are a summer staple for customers, so we’re bringing back Bring Your Own Container day. to celebrate the popular frozen drink for the second time this summerDennis Phelps, senior product manager for 7-Eleven’s Proprietary Beverages, said in the statement.
Everyone is willing to participate; however, on “Bring Your Own Container” day will be exclusive to members of the 7Rewards and Speedy Rewards loyalty program.
Now, not all 7-Eleven stores in the country will offer the promotion, but before going for a Slurpee with your own container, you must make sure that you are at any of the participating 7-Eleven, Stripes and Speedway stores.
Otherwise, you just have to worry about bringing a clean containerbut is used, leak-proof, and fits upright in the 10-inch diameter Slurpee dispensing machine position.
Any container customers choose will be valid to participate in the promotion, for which they will only have to pay $1.99 dollars.
“We want customers to build the Slurpee drink of their dreams, while having fun with the container of their choice. We can’t wait to see some of the creative mugs they come up with,” Phelps said.
At participating stores there will be flavors of blue raspberry, cherry, pina colada, Coca Cola and the lore of the season, mango lemonade.
