    China to Ban Apple, Qualcomm & Boeing as a Revenge to US Bans

    China is retaliating with its revenge to ban Apple, Qualcomm, and Boeing against US bans. This development comes forward when the US government blocked the supply of semiconductors to Huawei from global chipmakers. White House also extends its executive order to ban Huawei and ZTE (Chinese telecom equipment manufacturer).

    White House used the executive order to ban companies that pose a national security risk. The order is called the International Emergency Economic Powers Act, which gives the president the authority to regulate commerce during a national emergency.

    As a result Google products like Google play store, Maps, YouTube, and its new coronavirus tracking technology will not be used in Huawei smartphones after the US bans. Now American President Donald Trump amend an export rule to block shipments of semiconductors to Huawei.

    China will put US companies on the “Unreliable Entity List” as a countermeasure. The entities on the list will face legal and administrative measures and Chinese citizens will be warned against using them. There will also be a phase of investigations against the listed companies.

    Response to US Bans

    According to the reports the targeted companies will be those that rely heavily on Chinese resources. The list of entities can include Apple, Qualcomm, and Boeing along with Cisco, at first.

    Apple has a global revenue share of 17% in China with the amount of $43.7 billion in 2019. Qualcomm generates a revenue of $11.61 billion from China in 2019. While Boeing claimed that the Chinese demand for planes will generate almost $3 trillion in the next two decades.

    Huawei with revenue of $122.97 billion in 2019 is the company that affected the most due to unfriendly relations between the U.S. and China. And there also struggle between two powers for technological dominance along within other fields.

    The U.S. also attempting to rollout Huawei Infrastructure in 5G technology. For this America is convincing its allies to stop working with the company according to apple insider website.

    Huawei has already developed its own HMS (Huawei Mobile Services) as the replacement to Google play services, and recently the company announced that it has reached 400 million active users. Also 1.3 million developers are working for it.

    Huawei also had developed its own Mobile Operating System, Harmony OS.

    There is a continuous power struggle between the two powers. Each of them wants to dominate others economically, politically, and technologically. As a result the whole global order disturbs. Both countries need to solve their issues. And the best solution is the Effective TALKS.
