Alcaraz – Medvedev: schedule and where to watch the US Open semifinals

Carlos Alcaraz prepares to play the semifinals of the US Open against the Russian Daniil Medvedev, after having defeated the German Alexander Zverev (6-3, 6-2, 6-4), in the quarterfinals of the tournament. The Spanish tennis player will seek to get into the final of the US Open, an instance in which he could defend the title obtained a year ago. On that occasion, the Murcian took the first grand slam of his career, after beating the Norwegian Casper Ruud at Arthur Ashe Stadium.

This Saturday will be the fourth time that Alcaraz and Medvedev will meet. They have faced each other three times, with a balance of 2-1 in favor of the Spaniard. The first time they did it was in Wimbledon 2021, a match in which the Russian took victory after winning three sets in a row. The other two have been this year and Alcaraz has won both: first in the final of Indian Wells and then in the semifinals of Wimbledonwhere the Murcian managed to score his second grand slam.

The semifinal match between Alcaraz and Medvedev will take place in the early hours of this Saturday, September 9 at 01:00 a.m. Right at the end of the other key match, played between Ben Shelton and Novak Djokovic, scheduled for 9:00 p.m.
