days after the non-profit organization ProPublica revealed that Clarence Thomas has received extravagant gifts from his billionaire friend Garlan Crow and has traveled for 20 years aboard the Republican’s super-luxury yachts and private jets, it has come to light that a group of politicians have also benefited from the million from the developer.
Insider has revealed that Thomas hasn’t been the only one to benefit from Crow’s millions.so have several Republicans, as well as a couple of Democrats.
According to the aforementioned medium, Crow has donated $12 million to various campaigns since he began donating in the 1970s, according to what they were able to trace through disclosures made by the Federal Election Commission (FEC).
Crow has supported Marco Rubio at all times, even the republican was severely criticized for having carried out a fundraiser in the businessman’s house where Nazi memorabilia is on display
The billionaire donated $350,000 to the organization created to support Rubio’s campaign which was called “Conservative Solutions PAC”. According to Insider, Crow also invested $350,000 in “Our PAC Principles”, organization that won hundreds of dollars to defeat Trump’s presidential campaign in 2016.
Thomas and Rubio have not been the only ones who have benefited from CrowSo has Mitt Rommey who received $150,000 for Resort Our Future, as well as Jeb Bush who banked $50,000 in 2015 for “Right to Rise.”
Besides donated $17,800 to a committee to support the candidacy of Senator Lindsay Graham in 2020 and since 2021 he has contributed $10,000 to Stand for America, which is run by the presidential hopeful Nikki Haley.
In the last three years Crow has also donated $725,000 to the Senate Leadership Fund linked to Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConell, according to the same outlet.
In this list of Crow beneficiaries also appears Ted Cruz who in 2018 “Texas Are” received a $75,000 donation, a super PAC that supported re-election to the Senate when he faced a challenge from Congressman Beto O’Rourke.
