    Ron DeSantis’ video attacking the LGBTQ community used unauthorized material

    The producers of the television series Peaky Blinders disclaimed the video released by the Ron DeSantis campaign team, Governor of Florida, andWhich was offensive to several members of the LGBTQ community, as they consider that it violates their rights.

    They affirmed that in said video images were used without permission and even the show’s main character, Tommy Shelby, was projected with a sense of masculinity in a way that was biased and to the benefit of the Republican DeSantis.

    Through a statement, the producers of Peaky Blinders and the actor Cillian Murphy, noted their disagreement for having used material without first consulting them.

    And it is that on June 30, At the end of the Pride month celebration, the DeSantis campaign team posted a video on his Twitter account with the aim of showing Donald Trump as a friendly individual and even patronizing members of the LGBTQ community.

    With this, the governor of Florida was trying to win over conservative voters ahead of the Republican primary elections where both politicians are expected to face each other to get the candidacy for the presidential elections.

    In addition to trying to ridicule Trump, the strategy of the Florida governor’s advisers was to send the message of various measures that DeSantis has taken against LGBT people, such as the banning of a school drag show and the cancellation of a Pride show.

    However, the video was not received as expected by the 44-year-old politician, as he was considered excessively repressive of the rights of the LGBTQ community. and many comments arose on social networks that had a negative impact on their aspirations to fight to reach the White House in the next electoral process.

    According to Real Clear Politics polls, in Iowa, Trump leads DeSantis by 21.3%.

    And the percentage rises to 26.6% in New Hampshire; while, in South Carolina, the trend indicates 19.7% in favor of the former president.
