Alyssa Farah Griffin, who was an aide to former President Donald Trump and White House Communications Director during his tenure, hinted that Mark Meadows, former chief of staff from the white house is cooperating closely and actively with the Department of Justice.
During his participation in a segment of the CNN network, Alyssa Farah Griffin spoke openly regarding the activities of Mark Meadows with the Department of Justice in relation to the federal investigation they are carrying out against Donald Trump.
“I think what’s interesting about this is that indicates that Meadows is, I think he’s probably cooperating more than we think with the Department of Justice,” Griffin told his partner Erin Burnett of CNN.
Looking to try to find out more, Burnett said, “So if that’s the case, that means he’s, what, maybe he’s trying to make up for things like this? Do you think it’s possible that he’s now much more cooperative for a statement? like that, which was at best clueless and lazy and at worst a lie?
Griffin responded; “I think so. And also the fact that we haven’t heard him on the airwaves trying to defend Trump or anything like that.”
During this week it was made public that Mark Meadows had complied with the subpoena from the Department of Justice in relation to the investigation into the attack on the Capitol of January 6, 2021.
At the time he came to testify, the former White House chief of staff became the highest-ranking official in Trump’s cabinet. Meadows provided some documents that will be inspected by the authorities, according to the AP agency.
According to Alyssa Griffin, she believes that Mr. Maeadows is more attached to help with the investigation than in defending Donald Trump as other officials have done allies of the former president.
“I think they communicated with him and then he is cooperating because is a direct witness or he is cooperating because he has a certain level of criminal risk,” explained Griffin.
The former collaborator considers Mark Meadows to be a key witness for the Mar-a-Lago investigations, as with those of the January 6 attacks.
“The implications go beyond Mar-a-Lago because if he is cooperating and turns around, that could implicate President Trump. and all sorts of things regarding January 6, because I think I would be a key witness against him,” Griffin said in the interview.
Alyssa Farah Griffin, 33, was the White House Director of Strategic Communications and Assistant to the President in 2020, during the presidency of Donald Trump. He is currently a commentator for the CNN network where he addresses political issues.
