Minutes before the attorney general merrick garland announced through a press conference that the former prosecutor Robert Hur would take over the investigation of the classified documents found in an ex-office and garage of the house of Joe Biden, the ex-president Donald Trump made a request through his social network Truth Social.
“Merrick Garland must immediately end the special counsel’s investigation about anything related to me because I did everything right, and to appoint a special prosecutor to investigate Joe Biden, who hates Biden as much as Jack Smith hates me,” Trump wrote.
Is It is not the first time that Trump has used his social network to talk about Jack Smith whom he has even called a “bully”. Through the same channel, the former president accused him of having negative feelings against him.

Garland, who came under pressure from Republicans to pick a special teacher over the Biden case, described the “Hur’s long and distinguished career as a prosecutor” and noted his oversight of some of the Justice Department’s “most important national security, public corruption, and other high-profile matters.”
“This appointment underscores for the public the department’s commitment to both independence and accountability in particularly sensitive matters and with decision-making guided indisputably only by facts and the law,” said the attorney general.
