    “Climate Power En Accion” will mobilize Latinos for more clean energy in their communities

    Climate Power announced that it will launch an innovative project aimed at Latinos in the United States with the aim of promoting the use of clean energy and helping to reduce the consequences of climate change.

    Climate Power En Accion will lead a Latino-focused strategic communications political communications operation, based on research, surveys, paid campaigns and creative products, with a diverse team that understands the uniqueness and diversity of the Latino community.

    “We know that the weather affects each and every aspect of our lives. The economy, employment, health, our neighborhoods and our families,” said Antonieta Cadiz, Deputy Executive Director of Climate Power En Accion. ?The ability to communicate an effective and compelling message to Latinos about the climate and the impact of a clean energy economy is essential to mobilize this decisive and growing voting bloc to secure the future of our families.?

    Since its creation in 2020, Climate Power has established a significant presence in the Latino media, breaking audience records year after year. Only in 2022, the organization reached 770 mentions in the media, covering influential Latino markets on television, radio, press, Internet and social media platforms. In just three years, Climate Power has become an indispensable organization in shaping the climate narrative in Latino media.

    Climate Power En Accion is a continuation and expansion of that work that aims to be the bridge between the Latino public and the impact of climate progress. Already a majority of Latinos, 83%, are concerned about extreme weather conditions caused by climate change and supports the historic climate investments achieved in the Clean Power Plan led by President Biden.

    Latinos know that climate progress is making a difference, boosting the economy and creating jobs while helping to reduce emissions that contribute to air pollution and global warming.

    Since the passage of the Reduce Inflation Act, 129 of the more than 190 announced clean energy projects are in communities of color, creating more than 85,000 new jobs for communities of color.
