The fighter had his farewell match on July 31 in Nashville.
The American fighter Ric Flair, world heavyweight champion 16 times, revealed that during the last fight of his career he suffered two fainting spells that went unnoticed by the public.
“I think people didn’t realize I passed out twice,” Flair said during the August 10 episode of his ‘To Be The Man’ podcast. The 73-year-old WWE legend cited dehydration as part of the reason he felt unwell and dizzy during the bloody July 31 tag team match in Nashville, in which he wrestled alongside his son-in-law, Andrade El Idol, to face Jay Lethal and Jeff Jarrett.
“Well, what happened was my regimentation for training was so strict that I kept my weight down. I wanted my perfect weight to be like 220 pounds coming in,” Flair said. “So the last day, aside from all the work we had planned for me to do, I didn’t hydrate,” he added.
