Legendary investor Warren Buffett stated that although he does not have any experience in artificial intelligence, thanks to Bill Gates he had the opportunity to interact with the ChatGPT chatbot.
“I think it’s something I don’t understand at all, but Bill came here at least four or five months ago. [y me dijo:] ‘I’ll show you the latest fashion and what you can do with it,'” Buffett told CNBC journalist Becky Quick.
“I asked that [el chatbot] take the song ‘My Way’ (‘In my way’) and write it in Spanish,” he explained. “Two seconds later, you know, it comes out and one comes out that rhymes and does all these pretty things“, he added.
Buffett recalled that Gates presented him with some of the limitations of ChatGPT, such as its inability to tell jokesbut also highlighted its benefits, as it could save an “incredible” amount of time.
Despite this, Buffett said he was unsure whether this advanced technology is beneficial to humanity: “I think it’s an incredible technological advance, in terms of showing what we can do,” he said before confessing that he still does not know “if it is beneficial“.
