At least ten people have been murdered this weekend in the Mexican state of Veracruz, local media report.
In the municipality of Cordoba, five people were shot to death on December 31. First four men were attacked in the town of Los Filtros and, at night, a young man in his 20s was murdered in San Roman.
Meanwhile, near the city of Xalapa, they were found bags with leftovers of, supposedly, two people. The bags reportedly contained four legs.
Likewise, in the municipality of Martinez de la Torre, near the town of Plan De Limon, residents found the body of a man, apparently in handcuffs.
Finally, on January 1, a man was murdered in the municipality of Alamo and another in Minatitlan.
Previously, last Friday, Isauro Ambrosio Tocohua, mayor of the Rafael Delgado municipality, also in Veracruz, was shot dead. It is reported that the official was traveling in his car when a man shot him in the head.
