The Chinese state chain CGTN detailed that units from the Navy, Air Force, Missile Forces, Strategic Support Force and Joint Logistic Support Force participated in the maneuvers. The drills were held in the north, southwest and southeast of Taiwan.

This Tuesday, the EPL announced that it will carry out “important exercises” with live fire in six sea areas around Taiwan and their respective airspaces. The drills will last from August 4 to 7. During that period, ships and aircraft will be prohibited from entering the areas in question for security reasons. .
The Xinhua agency reported that the maneuvers “surround” Taiwan “from all directions”while the Asian giant’s Armed Forces are “on high alert.”
