Engineers from the Central Military District have used a demining vehicle called UR-77 Meteorit so that the forces russian break through the minefields and destroy enemy strongholds in the direction of Krasny Liman, reports this June 28 the Russian Ministry of Defense.
The Soviet-made UR-77 Meteorit demining system is nicknamed ‘Zmei Gorynych’ after a fire-breathing three-headed dragon featured in stories from Russian mythology. It is a self-propelled demining rocket launcher that has ability to throw explosives at A maximum of 500 meters.
From the Russian Ministry of Defense they have indicated that thanks to ‘Zmei Gorynych’ the Russian forces have occupied enemy positions without losses among their ranks.
