Thousands of people were trapped in the desert in Nevada after heavy rain turned the event into a ‘mud bath’.
Images of a huge traffic jam outside the site where the Burning Man festival was held have appeared on social media, in which thousands of people were trapped.
The music and arts event, which usually takes place in the Black Rock Desert in the US state of Nevada from August 27 to September 4, was interrupted this year by a storm.

The heavy rains turned the festival into a ‘mud bath’, that is, the ground turned into a thick and sticky mud, which made it difficult for vehicles to circulate without getting stuck. One person died as a result of the disaster.
