The state-owned Petroleos de Venezuela SA (PDVSA), sanctioned by the US Government, reports a 10.65% increase in its hydrocarbon production so far this yearwhich is equivalent to an average of 78,000 barrels per day (b/d) more than in January of the same year.
PDVSA figures detail that in July 2023 they produced 810,000 b/d, while in January the average was 732,000. The Venezuelan oil company, which in February experienced a drop in its production that reached 704,000 b/d, managed to rebound in May and set a maximum limit of 819,000 b/d.
“Venezuelan oil production continues to recover in 2023, as a result of the strategy of President Nicolas Maduro together with the efforts of the PDVSA workers, demonstrating that it is possible to face the blockage efficiently and trusting in our own capacities”, projection the president of the oil company, Rafael Tellechea, in his X account (previously called Twitter).
