ZLine RG30 30 Inch Gas Range.
US Consumer Product Safety Commission
Stoves are meant to cook, not kill, which is why ZLine recalled about 28,000 RG gas stoves on Thursday.
“Oven gas cooktops can emit dangerous levels of carbon monoxide (CO) while in use, posing a serious risk of injury or death from carbon monoxide poisoning,” the recall notice explains. the United States Consumer Product Safety Commission.
ZLine received 44 reports of such broadcasts, the alert says, including three reports from consumers who sought medical attention.
The RBG-36, RGS-30, RG30, RG36, RGB-30 and RGS-36 models, 30 and 36 inches.
ZLine is offering a repair, but doesn’t seem to have any to offer yet. The alert says that consumers should not use the oven “until a free repair is available” and ZLine is “working to carry out repairs for all affected units.”
However, the stove tops were given the go-ahead.
