    Jerry is a four-year-old black and white cat who likes to be petted and rub against people, for this excessively affectionate behavior his former owner gave him to an animal shelter in South Florida.

    When his case became known on social networks, it went viral and benefited the feline because he was adopted again. A family that is willing to give love and receive affection from the cat, the Humane Society of Broward County said on its Facebook account.

    According to that shelter, Jerry’s former owner said the cat waited on her frequently, was very affectionate and meowed a lot.

    “Too affectionate. Yes, that’s the reason my owner gave me up. He said that he teased her with how sweet and affectionate I was. I loved her but she didn’t love me. I hope to find someone who loves me as I am, ”she told herself in a notice“ signed ”by Jerry and published by the shelter.

    The Humane Society of Broward County initially said the cat “is heartbroken and confused.”

    But when Jerry’s case was reported, the shelter received many calls from people interested in adopting him, and one of them took him home.

    “Jerry was adopted! Sweet Jerry has found a loving forever home where he can be as affectionate as he wants to be!” the shelter said.

    She explained that when Jerry’s information was shared, she was seen “by the right person who ran to the shelter” to adopt him.
