Authorities of the Mega Millions lottery game announced that there is one lucky winner of the $96 million jackpot, who matched the winning numbers of the February 16 drawing.
A ticket purchased at a drugstore in Camden, New York, matched all the numbers, the New York Lottery reported.
The last time a Mega Millions lottery jackpot was won in New York, a group of 23 co-workers shared a $437 million prize on January 1, 2019.
The Feb. 16 Mega Millions jackpot was the second such lottery jackpot recorded in 2021, following a whopping $1.05 billion prize won in Michigan on Jan. 22. That multi-million dollar winner has yet to come forward to receive his prize.
