The well-known Cuban-American journalist and activist from South Florida, Ninoska Perez Castellon, returns to the radio with a program on the radio station La Nueva Poderosa 670 AM two weeks after resigning from Radio Mambi, one of the Cuban radio stations in Miami .

Perez Castellon told el Nuevo Herald that his new program on the Hispanic station will be called “Ninoska en la Poderosa.” It debuts this Wednesday and will air Monday through Friday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Salem Media Group, a media company with dozens of conservative and Christian radio stations and publications, announced that the broadcaster and host is returning to the airwaves as the host of a new Spanish-language talk lineup.

“We are extremely happy and honored to have Ninoska Perez Castellon join Salem Media Miami. Ninoska’s relentless voice in support of freedom and just causes now has a new home at La Nueva Poderosa 670 AM,” Salem Media Miami Vice President and General Manager Monica Rabassa said in a statement.

La Poderosa, along with Cadena Azul de Miami, were recently acquired by Salem Media, owner of more than 100 radio stations with more than 3,100 stations affiliated to the network, according to company data.

“I am grateful that Salem Media, a powerhouse in conservative thought, has stepped up and given Hispanic conservative voices a home at a time when we have been under attack for the sole purpose of silencing ourselves. I am extremely happy to be back on the airwaves connecting with the audience I love,” Perez Castellon said in the statement.

The presenter resigned from the Radio Mambi station after 26 years, after the company Latino Media Network completed the acquisition of that medium that belonged to TelevisaUnivison.

When the acquisition was announced, some conservative personalities warned that it could introduce programming changes and silence conservative voices in exile, while Democrats claimed that the station’s hosts spread misinformation in an attempt to promote a conservative agenda.

But Latino Media Network, a media company that obtained financing from Lakestar Finance LLC related to liberal businessman George Soros, has assured that it remains committed to preserving “Radio Mambi as a pillar of the Cuban-American community.”
