MIAMI HERALD
A man was arrested for throwing the Christmas tree from his house in Fruitland Park, in central Florida against his wife because she apparently asked him to help her with dinner, a local media reported Thursday.
The incident occurred when Richard Atchison, 52, “lost his temper” after his wife asked him to help prepare dinner.
Apparently the Atchison woman, angry, threw a silverware on the table and the food splashed him, at which time the man said he was leaving home, Local 10 News picked up.
However, the attacker, very upset, took the Christmas tree from the house and threw it at his wife, who was sitting in the living room with a friend.
The impact was so strong that the tree snapped in half.
The victim called police and Atchison was arrested on domestic violence charges and was being held in a Lake County jail on $8,000 bail, the outlet added.
