Russia has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council for next February 22 with the aim of addressing this issue.
The spokesman for the US State Department, Ned Price, declared this Wednesday at a press conference that Washington’s “partners” should investigate the explosion of the Nord Stream gas pipelines that occurred in September 2022.
“Are explosions did not occur on US soil“, he declared. “I would let our partners on whose territory, on whose soil, so to speak, these explosions occurred, to speak to the appropriate investigative mechanisms,” he added.
A journalist reminded him that Russia has requested a meeting of the UN Security Council for February 22 with the aim of addressing this issue and asked him if Washington considers that the United Nations should play a more active role in the investigation and if you are ready for such a meeting.
“I am not in a position to speak at any upcoming Security Council session. But I will repeat what we have said before: what we have heard from Moscow, what we have heard from the Kremlin, is nothing more than a lie,” he replied.
In this sense, Price stressed that the idea that the US is behind the sabotage of Nord Stream 2 is “pure misinformation”. “This is the message that we have constantly transmitted in the face of these lies […] and we will broadcast it again if necessary in any forum,” he concluded.
shocking revelation

On February 8, the legendary journalist Seymour Hersh, winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1970, published an article in which he affirms that US Navy divers placed the explosives under the Nord Stream gas pipelines in June 2022.
According to a source familiar with the matter, the operation was carried out under the exercise coverage BALTOPS 22 of the NATO. Three months later, the devices were remotely activated to destroy the pipelines.
Hersh maintains that US President Joe Biden decided to sabotage the Nord Stream after more than nine months of secret discussions with Washington’s national security team, discussing different ways to do it.
