The former military man had been placed in preventive detention in May, while the charges were presented to him on January 27.
Daniel Abed Khalife, a former British military officer accused of terrorism and violating the State Secrets Act, was captured this Saturday in west London, reports Sky News.
According to the British capital Police, Khalife is in custody. In addition, they stated that they will provide more details as the investigation progresses. Meanwhile, the Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, Rishi Sunak, stated that he is “very happy” with the arrest of the former military man.

Khalife escaped from Wandsworth prison this week, allegedly fleeing by hanging under a food truck. The former military man had been placed in preventive detention in May, while the charges were presented to him on January 27.
According to the official charges, the ex-military officer is charged with the crimes of committing an “act detrimental to the security or interests of the State”, of “obtaining information about individuals who are members of Her Majesty’s forces” and of “causing personal injury personal injury or property damage. Khalife had pleaded not guilty.
