    The president of Honduras, Xiomara Castro, asked on Monday that the Australian journalist Julian Assange, imprisoned in a British jail and who could be extradited to the free.

    Assange is accused in the US, where he could receive a sentence of 175 years in prisonfor the publication of hundreds of thousands of pages of secret military documents and confidential diplomatic cables on the activities of that country in the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, which were disseminated through its WikiLeaks portal.
