The San Francisco FBI on Thursday released new surveillance video in the case of the kidnapping of Monica de Leon Bearda US citizen, who was abducted in Tepatitlan, Jalisco, Mexico, while walking home from work with her dog on November 29, 2022.
In the first video, lasting 42 seconds, Monica is seen dressed in black walking down the street with her pet. In addition, the vehicles used in the execution of the kidnapping are seen: a volkswagen jetta silvery, a Dodge Charger gray and a Chevrolet Suburban white.
The second video shows the escape of 3 vehicles after the kidnapping of Monica, who confronted several suspects and was forced into a gray Volkswagen Jetta. Police indicate that a total of five people participated in the commission of the crime.
In the images, the young woman’s dog is also seen loose on the street while she was kidnapped. Later a relative of the victim located him. The FBI is offering a reward of up to $40,000 for information that leads to finding Monica.
Meanwhile, Robert Tripp, in charge of the San Francisco FBI office, reported that the kidnappers had been negotiating with the family of the young woman, who arrived in Mexico for work reasons in July 2022, local media reported.
