    Ten dead and around 150 wounded in clash between Chadian forces and Sudanese paramilitaries

    The soldiers were part of a joint force of troops from both countries that had been fighting in recent days with the Rapid Support Forces in the Sudanese border city of Geneina.

    At least a dozen Chadian Army soldiers were killed and another 150 wounded during armed clashes with fighters from the Rapid Support Forces (RSF) paramilitary group in the Darfur border region of Sudan.

    The wounded soldiers were repatriated to Chad, from where they were transferred to a regional hospital in the city of Adre.

    According to the French independent media Atum Mundisoldiers from the French Army are in Adre as reinforcements while the intense clashes continue on the Geneina border, since it is likely that the conflict could spread to that country.

    The international medical and humanitarian organization Doctors Without Borders, which is in Adre facing the arrival of people from the neighboring nation, says that approximately 6,000 people have fled Geneina and have taken refuge there in recent days.
