The Russian Defense Minister, Sergei Shoigu, has supervised the organization of combat training for military personnel hired from the formations and new units of the training camps of the Southern Military District, the institution under his command reported this Saturday.
The State portfolio explained that the soldiers receive tactical and specialized training, medical instruction, training in the use of firearms, driving combat vehicles and special equipment, as well as communication training.

The intensive course lasts 38 days in total. In this regard, the training of motorized rifle, tank and artillery units is carried out simultaneously.
Shoigu inspected the training tasks and conducting driving and shooting exercises with T-90 Proryv tanks. In addition, he found that soldiers practice their skills in a variety of settings, including urban combat.
For his part, Ivan Buvaltsev, head of the Main Combat Training Department of the Russian Armed Forces, informed the Defense Minister that special attention is paid during training to “provide soldiers with theoretical knowledge on the defeat of enemy military equipment based on on updated training documents and memos prepared on the basis of the experience of the special military operation,” the statement reads.
