The Democratic politician claims that a group of agents from the Central Intelligence Agency were angry with the president for a number of reasons.
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is convinced that the US spies involved in the attacks on Cuba had motives, the means and the opportunity to assassinate his uncle, President John Fitzgerald Kennedy, in 1963. Furthermore, he claims that the subsequent investigation into the murder was a cover-up led by a former director of the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA).
The candidate for the Democratic nomination for the 2024 US presidential election stated in an interview with commentator Tucker Carlson, published in Twitter this Monday, that a group of agents linked to the CIA station in Miami were angry with his uncle “for not sending air cover during the Bay of Pigs invasion” in 1961, “and even more so after the Missile Crisis in Cuba of 1962”.
After John F. Kennedy reached an agreement to defuse the nuclear crisis with Soviet leader Nikita Khrushchev, he also “put an end to all attacks by Office 66 against the island and by other groups that harassed Cuba,” added Robert F Kennedy Jr.
The politician claimed that the CIA worked with the mafia, who wanted to recover the casinos and other properties in Havana that were nationalized after the Cuban revolution led by Fidel Castro.
John F. Kennedy wanted to separate the CIA’s intelligence-gathering department and the planning office, whose agents “murder people, rig elections, overthrow governments,” he explained. However, the president was assassinated before he could, during his visit to Dallas, Texas on November 22, 1963.
The Warren Commission, in charge of investigating the murder, concluded that Lee Harvey Oswald, who shot the president, was a lone assassin, but Oswald himself did not appear before Justice, since he died after an attack perpetrated by the owner of a nightclub.
“Coordinated Kabuki Theatre”
According to the candidate for the Democratic nomination, the one who actually ran the Warren Commission was not Judge Earl Warren, but Allen DullesCIA chief fired by John F. Kennedy in November 1961. “The evidence that the CIA was involved in the assassination and cover-up is overwhelming,” he said in another interview in May.
“The only guy who went to all the meetings, looked at all the evidence, and wrote the questions for the witnesses was Allen Dulles. He ran the entire Warren Commission, and should have been the prime suspect” Robert F. Kennedy Jr. declared to Carlson, accusing Dulles of secretly communicating with the CIA and with J. Edgar Hoover in the FBI. “It was all a kind of coordinated Kabuki theater,” he maintains.
In 1967, the CIA instructed its alleged Operation Mockingbird program assets in the American press to dismiss any critic of the Warren Commission’s conclusions as “conspiracy theorist“, and despite the fact that all the files related to the JFK assassination should have been declassified by 2017, the CIA continues to keep a few 4,000 documents, despite the fact that all those involved are long dead, the Democratic politician said.
