The offender was handed over to the airport police and is being investigated for violating the Aviation Security Law.
A passenger tried to open a plane door during a Jeju Air flight from Cebu City, Philippines, to Incheon, South Korea, Yonhap News reports.

The incident occurred early Monday morning approximately one hour after the plane took off with 180 passengers on board. According to the outlet, which cites the airline and the authorities, a man started acting strange and complained that he felt pressure in his chest. After this, the cabin crew moved him near the folding seats, but he ran towards the exit to force the door.
The offender, identified as an 18-year-old man, was immediately subdued by the crew and other passengers, who they tied him to a seat during the remaining three hours of the flight. Once the aircraft landed at its destination, the young man was handed over to the airport Police and is currently being investigated for violating the Aviation Security Law.
According to an airline spokesperson, thanks to the prompt action of the crew, there were no human injuries or property damage. The incident comes less than a month after a man in his 30s who said he felt “trapped” opened an emergency exit door on an Asiana Airlines plane before landing.
