Prime Minister Imran Khan calls United Nation to intervene in Jammu Kashmir issue.
Islamabad, Pakistan: On Saturday (24/10/2020) Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan and President Arif Alvi on Radio Pakistan prompted United Nations to implement its authority of Security Council resolutions in Indian occupied Kashmir.
The Prime Minister and President in separate messages forwarded on Radio Pakistan said that the international body for peace keeping should pay heed to the issue of Jammu and Kashmir on its 75 anniversary of the United Nations. In 1945 the organization and its charter came into the act.
He commented that the situation of Jammu and Kashmir has worsened after the unlawful act passed in August of 2019.
He said the freed of the people living in the valley is crushed, they are deprived of basic human rights. BJP led by extremist Hinduvata ideology has placed a military doctrine in Jammu and Kashmir.
He urged the international community and specifically Security Council to implement its social, political, moral, and legal power to exercise United Nations Security Council resolutions to mediate the issue of Jammu and Kashmir.
He also elaborated on Pakistan’s key role in Peacekeeping Missions globally.
He said that Pakistan has always played an important role in maintaining international peace. Pakistan had provided blue helmets during the organizations missions.
Prime Minister Imran Khan paid tribute to all the men and women who contributed to peace including people from Pakistan.
He said the efforts of people are commendable who risked their own lives and work in a delicate and dangerous environment for maintaining global peace.
He observed that the organization had faced many challenges in this COVID-19 pandemic as many conflicting movements such as nationalist, Islamophobic, xenophobic, populist tendencies.
He said along with this the pandemic situation is being cashed for political exploration, international law is being is being defied and trade restriction being imposed.
Imran Khan added that Pakistan has supported the human rights organization throughout the pandemic owing to the common objectives of attaining global and international peace. And also for promoting security, economic and social development of all the people of the world.
President Arif Alvi in a separate message commented that the organization should help to lift the military doctrine so the people of Jammu and Kashmir could exercise their right of a peaceful protest.
He further said that a commission should be appointed to investigate the atrocious crimes and human rights violations being carried out against innocent people of Jammu and Kashmir.
