Bilawal Zardari Chairman of Pakistans People’s Party (PPP) says that he was shocked by Nawaz Sharif’s statements at the PDMs rally held in Quetta, in a BBC interview.
Islamabad, Pakistan: Bilawal Bhutto Zardari Chairman of Pakistans People Party revealed that he was shocked at Nawaz Sharif’s the leader of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz PML-N remark at the Quetta rally of Pakistan’s Democratic Movement (PDM).
In that, he had accused top military officials of Pakistan.
He said they were responsible for his expulsion from the seat of governance.
In his latest interview given to BBC Urdu Bilawal Zardari talked about several political things including the 11 parties alliance against the government PDM and also the upcoming elections of Gilgit Baltistan.
While Nawaz is in London, his speech was aired via a video link. He questioned who was behind “State above State”. He then went on to name current Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa and Inter-Services Intelligence ISI Director General Lt General Faiz Hameed being behind the curtains and causing his dismay from the position of Prime Minister.
Talking to BBC Urdu Bilawal Zardari said that while the agenda and strategy of PDM were being discussed, Neither Nawaz nor his party leaders brought up the topic of naming ISI and army chiefs.
Bilawal Zardari revealed that during the PDM meetings it was discussed whether to blame one institution or the whole establishment.
He said that it was decided to blame the establishment rather than solely blaming one institution.
Bilawal Zardari said that when Nawaz Sharif openly took the names of Chiefs of ISI and army, he was shocked.
He said the reason for his reaction is that they don’t talk like that in rallies.
He said that Nawaz Sharif had his own party and he can’t dictate to him what to do just like he can’t control what Bilawal said.
The PPP chairman also clarified that the opposition does not want military officials to resign.
He also asserted that he refrained from howling accusations and blames in rallies, he said that his party also does the same.
Bilawal also expressed that Nawaz Sharif being three times prime minister of Pakistan must have some evidence if he made these accusations at General Qamar Javaid Bajwa and Lt General Faiz.
He said that he was sure Nawaz Sharif would not have made these accusations he did not have evidence.
