On Tuesday, a strike on Kramatorsk, an important railway hub and home to military sites, destroyed a restaurant, leaving 12 dead and around 60 injured.
The Russian army said on Thursday that it killed two generals and dozens of other Ukrainian officers, as well as around 20 foreign military instructors in a recent strike on Kramatorsk, in eastern Ukraine.
“As a result of a high-precision strike (…), two generals, up to 50 officers of the Ukrainian forces and up to 20 mercenaries and foreign military instructors who participated in a meeting (…) were eliminated,” the Russian Defense Ministry said on Telegram.
12 dead after the destruction of a restaurant
This announcement comes two days after the strike on Kramatorsk, an important railway hub and home to military sites, which destroyed a restaurant leaving 12 dead and around 60 injured according to the Ukrainian authorities.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky had denounced a “terrorist” attack, and announced the arrest on the spot of an individual who had “coordinated” the Russian shootings, in his daily speech Wednesday evening.
The Russian Ministry of Defense for its part said on Wednesday that it had hit a “temporary deployment point” of the 56th mechanized infantry brigade of the Ukrainian armed forces.
