A second eight-year-old girl died on Sunday following an accident on Thursday in Wimbledon, a London suburb, when a car hit a school on the eve of school holidays, police said.
“It is with deep sadness that we announce the death of our beloved Nuria on Sunday July 9th,” said this statement from the London police relaying a message from the family of the child. Nuria had been hospitalized after the accident and had since been in very critical condition.

A woman in a “serious condition”
A forty-year-old woman is still hospitalized “in serious condition”, police said on Sunday, who have since dismissed any terrorist leads. Several other people were hospitalized but their lives are not in danger.
The driver of the vehicle, aged 46 and living in Wimbledon, was released on bail. She was arrested Thursday on “suspicion of dangerous driving resulting in death”.
