French soccer player Kylian Mbappe arrived in Cameroon, his father’s native country, on Thursday, accompanied by important security measures, including an armored car.
The 24-year-old Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) forward visited Djebale, an island in the African country, where his father Wilfried Mbappe was born. The French national team player was received with a presidential welcome, accompanied by a convoy and policemen.
During his stay in Cameroon, Mbappe visited a school for the blind and dumb in a suburb of Yaounde, which received funding from his Inspired by KM foundation. She later participated in a game basketball with retired NBA player Joakim Noah and played soccer with a group of kids. He also spoke with the country’s prime minister, Joseph Dion Ngute.

The footballer was scheduled to play a match against FC Vent d’Etoudi, a second division team, on Friday afternoon, however the match was canceled due to concerns for the player’s safety, according to French media.
