The 6.9 earthquake that shook several cities in Morocco on Friday night has claimed the lives of several dozen people, according to preliminary data from local media.
Thus, the Aabbir portal, with reference to the Moroccan Ministry of the Interior, reports at least 151 deaths as a result of the earthquake.
On the other hand, the Al Arabiya channel has reported that there are 93 victims of the earthquake, while the Goud.ma media, referring to a local official in the Marrakech region, has reported “dozens of deaths.”

The earthquake caused material damage that included broken glass, falling structures and the collapse of several walls. In the videos circulating on the Internet, collapsed buildings and debris can be seen in the streets.
