The Spanish Justice is investigating a former soldier, owner of the security company UC Global, SL, for spying on former Ecuadorian President Rafael Correa during meetings he held in 2018 with former presidents of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. The reports would have been delivered to the CIA.
After it was revealed that his electronic devices -as well as those of his daughters- were spied on by the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), the former president of Ecuador, Rafael Correa, expressed his “satisfaction” for the absence of any evidence that can be used against you.
“The CIA has spied on us. They had full access to my computer, my phone, our accounts and, despite all that, they have no choice but to condemn us ‘for psychic influence.’ incriminate us, they were left with frustration,” he said in statements to RT.
The former president said that this company was co-opted by the CIA and they spied on both him and his family.
He maintains that there were meetings in the presidential palace to inform Moreno of all his movements and he recalled that the security company provided him with the computer he used. “They had full access to my computer, my phone,” he added.
The scandal was uncovered after the Spanish Justice investigated an ex-soldier, owner of the security company UC Global, SL, for spy on Correa during meetings he held in 2018 with former presidents of Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay. The reports would have been handed over to the CIA revealed the newspaper El Pais.
The former president regretted having entrusted the security of the Ecuadorian embassy in London to the Spanish security company Undercover Global (UC Global), while condemning the interception of the communications of his daughters, who were minors at the time.
