    Chinese Blogger Killed While Broadcasting Live From Nepalese Market

    Known as ‘Fatty goes to Africa’, he died in hospital after being stabbed in the abdomen.

    Chinese blogger Gan Soujiong, 29, known as ‘Fatty goes to Africa’, was allegedly stabbed to death by a rival blogger while was doing a live broadcast from a market in Kathmandu, Nepal. One of the people who accompanied him also suffered injuries.

    During the live broadcast, held on December 4, Gan walked while talking to two other people, until finally he started screaming and dropped his phone. In the attack, the blogger suffered chest and abdominal injuries, for which he was hospitalized at the National Trauma Center, where he ultimately lost his life.

    Meanwhile, Li Chuzan, 32, one of the people accompanying him, also suffered stomach injuries, but survived after receiving medical attention.

    Shortly after a citizen was arrested,also of Chinese nationality, Feng Zhengyung, 37, who is known on the Internet as ‘Ayun’. The suspect lives in Nepal and according to initial reports, had a rivalry with the victim over multiple disputes.

    Gan amassed millions of Chinese followers on social media, featuring food and culture from different countries.
