The package includes a watch, pen, ring, cufflinks and ‘masbaha’ (a hanging accessory used for prayers).
Former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro has until next Friday to deliver the luxury jewelry package he received from the Government of Saudi Arabia, as ordered by the Union Court of Accounts (TCU) last week.
The package includes a watch, pen, ring, cufflinks and ‘masbaha’ (a hanging accessory used for praying), objects that must be delivered to the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic, an institution that will keep the goods in custody until the TCU re-deliberates the case.
These jewels, a gift to Bolsonaro and the former first lady, Michelle, were delivered to a delegation from the Ministry of Mines and Energy in 2019 and entered Brazil without being declared to the authorities, reported G1.

The same entourage brought to Brazil, also without declaring, another set of jewels that was seized at the Guarulhos International Airport in Sao Paulo.
In addition to the jewelry, the TCU ordered the former president to hand over a rifle and a pistol that he received as a gift in 2019 from the United Arab Emirates.
These weapons, according to the court’s decision, will also go to the General Secretariat of the Presidency of the Republic.
In their decision last week, the TCU members also determined that an audit of all gifts received is carried out by Bolsonaro during his term as President of the Republic (2019-2023).
