Amazon said it would hire about 5,000 refugees for fulfillment, warehousing, transportation and delivery work.
At least 40 multinational companies such as Amazon, Marriott, Hilton, Starbucks, among others, pledged this Monday to hire and offer training to more than 250,000 refugees over the next three years in Europe.
The announcement comes on the eve of World Refugee Day, during the Tent European Business Summit in Paris, France, organized by the Tent Partnership for Refugees, a non-profit organization connecting businesses and refugees.
