While a plane crash killed 10 people in Russia – and Yevgeni Prigojine’s name is on the passenger list – the Russian president is currently in the south-west of the country, in Kursk.
He presides over a ceremony where he decorates soldiers.
The Wagner frontman appeared in a video released on Monday
Evgueni Prigojine appeared Monday evening in a video facing the camera, the first since the abandonment of his rebellion against the Kremlin in June. Dressed in camouflage and filmed in a desert landscape, he claimed to be with fighters from his group in Africa, where he was working to “make Russia even greater on all continents”.

The death of Yevgeny Prigojine is not yet formally confirmed. The only information we have at the moment: the Russian air transport agency Rossaviatsia claims that the name of Wagner’s boss was on the passenger list of the plane that crashed.
Plane crash in Russia kills 10

According to the Russian press agencies, the name of Evgueni Prigojine – boss of the paramilitary militia Wagner appears on the list of passengers of this plane which was to connect Moscow to Saint-Petersburg.
