In this zone there are constant confrontations between the Colombian Army and the guerrillas of National Liberation Army (THE N). The FARC dissidents also have a strong presence in the sector and, for the moment, it is unknown which armed group would have been responsible for this attack.
The Association of Cargo Carriers (ATC) has condemned these “attacks” and has launched a “strong call” to the president Colombian, Gustavo Petro, to guarantee the safety of truckers and their vehicles.
The events took place the same day that the Colombian government resumed peace talks with the ELN in Venezuela.
