    A car rams into a group of protesters in Tel Aviv (VIDEO)

    Demonstrations against the Netanyahu Government’s judicial reform have become weekly in the country’s main cities.

    A car has rammed into a group of protesters who were protesting against the judicial reform of Benjamin Netanyahu’s Government and who were blocking a road in Tel Aviv this Saturday night, reports The Times of Israel.

    In the images, captured by an eyewitness, one of the cars can be seen suddenly starting and running over protesters, leaving several people on the sidewalk. Of them, a woman of 25 years it turned out slightly injured and was hospitalized for a leg injury.

    The driver stopped the car several meters from the scene of the accident and got out of the vehicle. Later, he explained to the Police that the vehicle started because he, accidentally stepped on the accelerator as he swapped seats with his son, a novice driver who was initially driving the car but was overwhelmed by the road closure. However, one of the protesters told the media that the attack had been deliberate. “All the cars stopped and then one of them accelerated to make way,” she said.

    Commenting on the situation, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, has “strongly condemned any form of violence” and asked “everyone to act with restraint and respect the law.”

    Demonstrations against the Netanyahu Government’s judicial reform, which prevents the Supreme Court from reviewing the reasonableness of government and ministerial decisions, have become weekly in the country’s main cities since last January, when Netanyahu announced the draft the law.
