The changes in Miss Universe seem endless, because a few hours ago, from an event held in Malaysia, Anne Jakapongthe owner of the contest, announced that from now on she and the future winners will travel around the world in a private plane.
The aircraft, which he showed through a screen, draws attention for having the word Miss Universe and the initials ‘M and U’ printed on it, as well as for its elegance and for all the luxuries that it surely has inside.
“We are proud to announce the first private jet in Miss Universe history. Whenever we travel in Miss Universe, we will have our private jet to go anywhere in the world”, was how Anne Jakapong presented the spectacular plane.
Although there was applause at the presentation event, the acquisition of the jet has divided comments, as happened in the program ‘At home with Telemundo’, where its presenters questioned its lack of commitment to the environment.
“Don’t they say that they are very green, that I don’t know what, blah, blah. The truth is that I don’t care, I’m going to give it ‘no like’”, said one of the presenters of the broadcast, while Carlos Adian recalled that the use of a private aircraft goes against the sustainability message he gave R’Bonney Gabriel, the winner of the most recent edition of Miss Universe.
“Many people criticize because one of the winner’s philosophies is that everything was sustainable, so the fact that she has a private plane does not go with the philosophy, but that is the winner’s, not the owner who is giving her prestige in this way to the organization”, justified the presenter.
