A few days ago, R Kelly’s fiancee revealed in the electronic book she has written about her life with the rapper that they are both expecting their first child together. The legal representative of the disgraced music star was quick to deny the news and even the woman’s own parents questioned whether she was really pregnant.
Now Joycelyn Savage, as the singer’s future wife is called, has reaffirmed her initial statements to also add that she is in the fifth month of pregnancy and that the baby will be a girl. He has also shared an ultrasound and has assured the Entertainment Tonight portal that R Kelly is delighted with the prospect of becoming a father despite the fact that he is currently in prison.
Joycelyn herself was mentioned as one of his victims in the trial in which he was sentenced to 30 years in prison for sex trafficking and child abuse, but she has denied that the disgraced rapper abused or sexually exploited her in the past. In reality, she offers a portrait of her relationship in which Kelly took care of her every need even though she had other partners.
According to their version of events, the two had decided to resort to in vitro fertilization before he was convicted, but stalled the process and opted to freeze Joycelyn’s eggs until she felt ready to use them. What she has not clarified is when or how she decided to take the step, although she insists that R Kelly’s legal team pressured her to terminate her pregnancy.
“Once her lawyer found out, she wanted her to have an abortion because she didn’t think it was the right time to have a baby. Robert and I wanted to have a child for a long time.. He is very happy, his lawyer is not so happy. When I told her I was keeping my baby, she didn’t want her to announce it, but I wanted to share the news. I have always been by his side, even before this new lawyer came on the scene,” she added.
