Jose Eduardo Derbez spoke for ‘Despierta America’ on the occasion of Father’s Day, which will be celebrated in the coming days, both in Mexico and in the United States, and revealed what it was like for him to grow up with two father figures, that of Eugenio Derbez and that of the husband of Victoria Ruffothe former governor of the state of Hidalgo, Omar Fayad.
“They are both like my parents, well, one biological and the other was with me all my life”, mentioned the actor when asked about the meaning that both had. Also, he told a little bit about how he celebrates with everyone that day.
“Well it depends, it depends on many things, it depends on whether I’m working or not, but we try to go out to eat, something very simple, but we almost always end up celebrating on days that aren’t, due to everyone’s work”he mentioned.
Jose Eduardo also talked about the best advice he has received from the comedian, “That he always wants to, that he is very constant in what I want, that if I focus on something, I do it”he declared.
On the other hand, he assured that Omar Fayad never really replaced his father and that he actually considers him a friend for life. “Since he entered our lives, it was just my mother and I and since he entered it was very clear that my mother was really going to take education and that I had a father”mentioned the actor.
However, he did become the father figure in the house and gave him advice, for which he is very fond of him. On the other hand, she revealed that the time for him to become a father, he could be very close.
