One of the great actors of Hollywood, Anthony Hopkins, He celebrated his 85 years of age on December 31.
The well-known actor is also known for being a composer, director, and producer. He was born in Wales on the 31st of December 1937.
He is recognized for his performances on screen and also on stage, he is one of the most recognized actors of Britain.
This has earned him many awards in his more than fifty years of artistic career.
He has two Oscars, three BAFTAs from the British Academy, two Primetime Emmy and a Laurence Olivier Award.
He also received a Golden Globe career path fee. In 1993 Queen Elizabeth II knighted him for his services to the arts.
While in 2003, he received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame for his achievements in the film industry.
After graduating from the Royal Welsh College of Music & Drama in 1957, Hopkins chose to train at the Royal Academy of Dramatic.
Laurence Oliver discovered him and invited him to join the Royal National Theater in 1965. Three years later Hopkinks gained film recognition with The Lion in Winter.
Since then he has worked on more than ninety film and television tapes.
In the year 2022, with 84 yearsbecame the longest-serving actor to win a Best Actor Oscar, for his work in The Father.
“They always ask me the same question: ‘How did you prepare to play such a character?’ and I always answer the same: I learn the dialogues, I go to the set and I do my job. It seems strange, but it is so. As I learn the dialogues well, I am relaxed, I can improvise and enjoy the interpretation. I have always set myself that goal: learn the text well. I can’t say it’s a very difficult job, but it takes many hours, and then I’m ready to go to work. I feel at peace with myself, I have no nerves or insecurities. I do it without thinking,” Hopkins said at the time.
In recent years, the actor has been participating many times as protagonists. His 85th birthday finds him accompanied by Stella and suffering from Asperger syndrome.
He stated in an interview that he felt calm and lived almost alone.
“I do not have much to say, I don’t have big thoughts about anything. What I like to do is read and play the piano. I’m a pretty quiet person, I don’t hang out with other actors and I don’t have friends who are. I’m a bit lonely. I lead a very relaxed life, ”said the acting expert in one of the last interviews he gave.
