Next November 29, the chain NBC will transmit “Christmas at Graceland”, a special program in which many celebrities will perform the Christmas songs that made them famous Elvis Presleyfrom the mansion Gracelandwhich will open its doors especially for this event.
The project has actress Riley Keough (granddaughter of the singer) as executive producer. She reported that preparations for the show have already begun: “My family and I are thrilled to open the doors of Graceland in this one-of-a-kind special. With intimate musical performances inspired by my grandfather Elvis’ Christmas in Memphis, viewers will be invited to experience firsthand the magic that is Christmas at Graceland.” In the coming months the names of the artists in the cast will be announced.
Jen Nealexecutive vice president of special events at NBCUniversal Media Groupannounced in a statement that the special “will feature the biggest stars in music celebrating the King of Rock ‘n’ Roll, his music and his favorite time of year, live from his iconic home, Graceland…It is an honor and a dream come true. We thank Riley and his family for allowing us all to visit his grandfather’s house and share a musical experience that Elvis would have truly loved.”
