Alec said that Tony had a lot of fun seeing his work on “Saturday night Live”: “We did all those things on the show. People ask me, ‘What’s the greatest thing in your career?’ And I always tell them that was when Tony Bennett went on the show, and in the sketch “The Tony Bennett Show” he played a Tony Bennett impersonator! He got there, and it was one of the best moments in my life. He was someone incomparable. My heart goes out to Susan (Crow) and her children, especially Danny, who was her most important collaborator.”
