David Corenswet, 29, originally from Philadelphia, is the actor who will star in the blockbuster “Superman: Legacy”with which he will start a new film saga about “the man of steel”, produced by Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios.
The film will show the origin of the character Kal-El, from his birth on the planet Krypton until his arrival on Earth, where he begins to work as a newspaper reporter. Daily Planet under the name of Clark Kent. Actress Rachel Brosnahan has been tapped to play Lois Lane, Superman’s love interest.
It was in December 2022 when it was announced that the British actor henry cavill (who played Superman in Man of steel in 2013, and from there in a series of films that received all kinds of criticism) would no longer carry the character, since the objective of James Gunn and peter safran -directors of DC– is to start a new stage in the films of those studios.
“Superman: Legacy” will be directed by Gunn himself and will be released in the United States on July 11, 2025.. As for David, he started his career in 2011 with small roles in movies; His most well-known work to date has been in the series of Netflix “The Politician” of 2019, in which he shared credits with Jessica Lange, Gwyneth Paltrow, Bette Midler, Ben Platt and Zoey Deutsch.
